My name is Rebecca Tatum and I had the honor of being John Tatum’s wife. Now that he has gone to heaven I am able to share the legacy of his life with this auspicious team on the “An Ordinary Day” Revelation Rock Opera Project. It is a dream come true and John knew it was in process. He is watching from the best seat in the house and there is a blessing that will come from this project as the word of God says “Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near.” Revelation 1:3. 

Here is how this all began in a vision from the Lord. I was working as a scientist at Amgen the #1 Biotech company in the world. 

The job was amazing and I had my whole life planned…work at Amgen, make a lot of money, remain single, buy a condo and keep my will going. God laughed. He had something else in mind.

John Tatum at the time was my friend for nine months. We met in the choir at church and I knew John played guitar. However, that was about it until…my will did not work anymore. I basically went through a ‘Job’ experience and lost everything is a short time. Gone first was my job at Amgen.

Eventually, I became homeless. To get a paycheck I volunteered for a camping experience with some disabled adults for a week as the camp nurse. It was out in the tent we stayed in, in the dark of the night with a roommate I was assigned to help who was awake but blind, that I cried out to God. “What do I do now Lord!?!”

He answered me with a true vision. In through the crack of light in the tent opening came a platinum CD on the wings of an angel. It spun around in the air so I could see it was platinum and it scared me.

Bad.

I said to the Lord “alright now take it away you are scaring me”. He did. The next day as we took the campers to the pool I had a chance to go to the payphone and call my friend John. I told him what happened. I said “music…God wants me to do music, I don’t know anything about music”.

That is when he told me he was a professional musician who had a recording studio in his home. Shortly thereafter we knew we were called of God and had a plan to fulfill. His will. We were also called to be together and married.

For 20 years we pursued that vision. It seems to me like a dog with a bone simply not giving up is why this album is here. John began these scores and they were here to read.

He became unable to finish but his message was simple… Are You Ready and it happens on An Ordinary Day. John was both when his time came. He set an example and was so certain about his beliefs they are very real. As real as this beautiful music.

What John began another finished. Richard Klender hired the best and finished this project.

We are in a minority. What a gift to share with the world. John was told by a true prophet that he would be a bright light at a time of darkness. He is. It is an honor to be a part of the End Time Legacy Project. 

May every note and every word have an impact. It is a miracle. A masterpiece. A light in the darkness.
